Question by Random Girl: Untreated Acid Reflux = Cancer?
I’ve read that long-term untreated acid reflux can essentially lead to cancer! Well, i have acid reflux and its hardly controlled. I have the heartburn, hiccups, and “wet burps”- the whole nine yards. So My questions are: How long is too long to go untreated? Are pills the only solution? I VERY forgetful and i never remember until i get heartburn something awful.

Studies have shown that untreated GER contribute to:

* asthma
* chronic cough
* pulmonary fibrosis
