Video of a laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication surgery. During the procedure surgeons repaired the lower esophageal sphincter, a muscle that separates the stomach and esophagus. Normally this muscle closes after a person eats or drinks and keeps stomach acids from returning up into the esophagus. When the muscle does not stay closed tightly, or is unable to close properly, a person may experience chronic reflux resulting in heartburn, chest pain, cough, difficulty swallowing or regurgitation. Yes I Had the Surgery and I am feeling so much? Better, no more Heartburn, still eating small meals and bland food due to my stomach lining still gets inflamed but feeling great and no more acid flowing up. Thanks Again, I even lost 15 lbs great info from this video

Great Video, I have a Bad Hiatal Hernia, And has gotten worse over the years, All my.Answers were answered? with the video, I have inflamation in my Esophogus, and even have erosions on my duedenum, So finnally My Kaiser Gastro Dr is sending me to the.surgeon for Fundoplication Surgery, I been dealing with GERD and hiatal hernia for going on 20yrs.Thanks for your help.
